Element Worship 

Welcome!

We're so grateful that you're interested in auditioning for the worship team at Element Church, and we're excited for the opportunity to go through this process together! 

Our job on the worship team is to lead the congregation into the presence of God through the musical giftings that He has given us. Our heart for Element Worship is not to have a group of talented musicians playing music together on a stage, but to have a group of authentic worshippers who want to pursue the heart of our Father through passionate praise and worship. 

There are two steps to the audition process:  1) the worship team application, and 2) live audition. 

Step 1 | The Worship Team Application

As we consider bringing on new team members, this worship application helps us to understand more about you, your faith background, and experience. After sharing this information about yourself, you will be asked to submit a video audition. 

For your video audition, please submit a video of yourself playing your instrument or singing along to one of the designated songs for each musical part. Google Drive links, Dropbox links, YouTube video links, or Vimeo links are all accepted for submissions.

Lastly, you will be asked to review and agree to our Statement of Faith Agreement. After your submission, we will get in contact with you regarding your next steps

Step 2 | The Live Audition

Live Auditions will be offered by invitation only. If you are invited for a live audition, the Team Leader(s) will coordinate a date with you to perform the song(s), selected by the Team Leaders, in person. The Team Leaders will provide you with mp3 practice tracks, chord charts, and with the Ableton click and track that you will be playing alongside during your live audition. 

For the live audition itself, you will be asked to use in-ear monitors and sing or play along to the Ableton click track. 
We ask you to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled audition time. Upon arrival, you will be given a short overview of how the process works, and time to adjust your in-ear mix prior to starting your audition.

FAQs

You will need to bring a pair of pluggable in-ear monitors or headphones to use during your audition. This is necessary for you to hear yourself, the click tracks, and the cues. If you do not have your own, please inform the Worship Team Leader and a pair will be provided to you. 
Drummers & Keyboardists will use the Element stage drums and keyboard. Drumsticks are not provided, so please bring your own. All other instrumentalists will need to bring their corresponding instruments (as well as guitar picks if applicable). In/out ¼ inch cables and DI boxes will be provided.

Yes! Please contact kinsleym@theelement.church if you need a chord chart or click track in a different key.

Yes, of course! We only ask that if you would like to audition for multiple parts (either multiple instruments or an instrument and vocals) that you submit separate videos for each.
